Diabetes Supplies and CGMs at Champaign Rx

Continuous glucose monitor prescriptions filled here

A continuous glucose monitor uses a small sensor to track your glucose through the day. If your doctor prescribes one, send the prescription to Champaign Rx, or ask us to transfer it from another pharmacy. We keep CGMs available and fill them like any other prescription, with pickup at our counter or free delivery.

CGM systems come from different makers, and your prescription names the one your doctor chose. Call (313) 382-0000 and tell us which one you use, and we will check availability and coverage for you.

Glucose monitor, meters and diabetic test strips

Not everyone uses a CGM. We also have blood glucose meters, test strips and other diabetic supplies for finger-stick testing. Our pharmacist can show you how your meter works when you pick it up, and explain how to match the right strips to your meter so you do not buy the wrong box.

Testing supplies are usually covered differently from medications, and plans vary. When you bring a prescription, we bill your insurance where it is covered and tell you your cost before you pay. If you pay out of pocket, we take credit and debit cards and will tell you the price up front.

Insurance, Medicaid and refills for diabetic supplies

We accept most insurance plans, including Medicaid. Some plans need extra paperwork from your doctor before they cover a CGM. If yours does, we will tell you what is needed and can reach out to your doctor's office, so your first fill is not held up longer than it has to be.

Sensors and strips run out on a schedule. Call in your refills by phone, and choose free delivery if you would rather not come in. We deliver to Allen Park, Dearborn, Melvindale, Lincoln Park, Taylor, Southgate, Dearborn Heights, Ecorse, Wyandotte, Detroit and Garden City.
