Counseling

Medication Counseling at Champaign Rx

What medication counseling covers

When you pick up a new prescription, our pharmacist can walk you through how and when to take it, what to expect, and what to watch for. If your doctor changes a dose or adds a new medication, we can help you understand how it fits with the prescriptions you already take, including anything filled at another pharmacy.

We do not replace your doctor. If a question needs your doctor's input, we will tell you so, and when it makes sense we can contact the office for you. Our goal is simple: you should leave the counter knowing what each medication is for and how to take it.

Talk to a pharmacist without the rush

Call (313) 382-0000 and a real person answers. Our pharmacists make time to talk, whether you are standing at the counter or calling from home after a free delivery. There is no appointment needed. Just ask during pharmacy hours, Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM and Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM.

Caregivers are welcome to call too. If you help a parent or family member manage their prescriptions, we can go over the full medication list with you, explain what changed after a doctor visit, and help you keep refills lined up so nothing runs out unexpectedly.

Counseling in English, Arabic and Filipino

Our team speaks English, Arabic and Filipino. Understanding your medications is easier in the language you are most comfortable with, so tell us your preference when you call or visit. Family members who help with translation are welcome too, but you do not have to rely on them for the basics.

Taking vitamins or supplements as well? Bring them up with the pharmacist. We can tell you which products work with your prescriptions and which ones to ask your doctor about first. Bring the bottles or a photo of the labels, and we will look at them together.
